Olga Koch

Olga is a stand up comedian, writer, occasional actor and transatlantic provocateur.

Since arriving in the UK in 2014, Olga has quickly earned a fierce reputation on the comedy circuit.

Having lived in Russia, Germany, the US and the UK – she speaks confidently and hilariously on current affairs both global and personal.

She has trained at the UCB Theatre in New York, The Soho Theatre Young Company and The Free Association Improv program and holds a degree in computer science from New York University, which often inspires her work. Olga co-runs the monthly comedy night Joy Multiplication and frequently appears on the Trashfuture podcast.

In 2018, Olga performed at Union Chapel alongside Reg D. Hunter and Seann Walsh, recorded for Rob Delaney’s Stand Up Central on Comedy Central and appeared on BBC Radio 4’s The Now Show. She has written and starred in several BBC Three’s ‘Quickies’, with one of her sketches attracting nearly a million hits. She also co-wrote the feminist sci-fi play “Data Night” with Catherine Brinkworth.

In 2018, she was nominated for Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards for her debut hour, Fight, which premiered at The Pleasance Courtyard. Directed by Charlie Dinkin and produced by Berk’s Nest,Fight has been described as “a hybrid of a John le Carre novel and an episode of Black Mirror” by Bruce Dessau of The Evening Standard.
