Local coaches run from the airports to the city, where you can catch services to Šibenik.
Alternatively, you could fly to Zagreb (340km from Šibenik) and take a coach from Zagreb Bus Terminal.
All three airports are well connected with London and many other major European cities.
Šibenik lies just over 300km from the Croatian capital, with much of the distance covered by the swift and highly scenic A1 motorway.
Be aware that the A1 is a toll motorway, and the Zagreb-Šibenik stretch will set you back about 152HRK (car) or 92HRK (motorbike) each way.
Šibenik is settled in the middle of Croatia’s main coastal road which runs from Rijeka in the northwest to Dubrovnik in the southeast.
It is a stunning journey, which takes you along one of the most beautiful coastal roads in Europe.
However, heavy traffic is quite a regular occurrence in summer, so it might be worth heading inland and picking up the motorway.
